Because sometimes you want lemonade, but don’t want to drink one entire cup of SUGAR. Also because once you realize that honey can be used for way more than herbal tea there’s no turning back.
Honey Lemonade
Serves: 6
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
INGREDIENTS
6 lemons
5 cups of water
½ cup honey
DIRECTIONS
-
Place 1 cup of water and the honey in a small pan and bring to a simmer. Stir until the honey is dissolved and turn the heat off.
-
Cut each lemon in half, and juice them into a pitcher or whatever you plan on storing the lemonade in (you should have about ½ cup of juice.)
-
Pour the honey-water into the pitcher, add 4 more cups of water to the mix, and stir it all up.
-
Refrigerate if you want it cold, otherwise it’s ready to be chugged.
NOTES
- Want limeade? Substitute the lemons for limes.
- Don’t like honey and want some good old fashioned lemonade? Use 1 cup of sugar instead. It’s your body not mine!
